Whānau Kotahi

Whānau Kotahi’s sculpture is called Flora, Fauna, Whānau. It is made up of posts with painted circles on them. It represents different topics such as cultures, plants and animals.

As part of their Inquiry process, Whānau Kotahi looked up pictures on their chromebooks and voted on their favourite designs. The children drew on the wood circles and painted on the outline. It was made using paint and wood.

The students have painted their creations onto circles and these have been bolted onto poles and then stuck into the ground. They have used multi-colours and the poles are different sizes. The sculptures are amongst the grove of trees by the driveway.
