Room 8
The title of Room 8’s sculpture is Together. It is made from 5 posts that have been concreted into the ground in a koru shape. The koru shape has then been filled with white pebbles. They have used wood, paint and cement.
The class got posts and painted them, dug a koru shape, put weed matting and scoria down and then placed the stones on top.
Room 8’s inspiration came from having many different cultures intertwined and ‘Together’. The colours they have used are - white, black, green, red, yellow, blue, orange and brown. It feels hard and also smooth. It is not to be walked on. It can be found behind Rooms 12 and 13.
