Room 23’s sculpture is called School of Fish. It is made up of 30 fish that have been created out of wood with PVA patterns.
A huge shout out to our tuakana teina (older buddies) from Lynfield College and Yvonne Townsend, who cut out the fish for us. You can find these fish swimming across the back wall of the Performing Arts Centre by the field. Just like us, they are all different colours and swim in different directions at different speeds.
Room 23’s inspiration was tropical rainbow fish. The children found out about these types of fish and decided to create their own. The fish are attached to the wall. They are delicate so please do not touch them.
